The destination for RIAWC Tourista’s in October is historic Galena, IL. Galena is approximately 1 1/2 hours North of the Quad Cities. We plan to meet at 8am at Northpark Mall. Our first stop will be at the Visitors Center and then we will board a trolley at 10am for a one hour tour of Galena. The cost of the trolley will be $18.00 + tax and reservations are required in advance.

After the tour, we will meet at the The Market House for lunch. The restaurant is considered handicapped accessible, but in order to reach The Market House you must walk up steps from Main Street or walk down a slanted concrete path from Bench Street.

After lunch, we will have some fun shopping or visiting some historic sites.

Your reservation will include payment for the Trolley tour ticket $18 plus tax, Non-refundable, even if you have to cancel at the last minute. Also include in RSVP if you have a concern with ability to reach the restaurant, so an alternate lunch location can be found.
